Amazon began working on their onsite publisher program four years ago. Early in the pilot it was just Wirecutter, BestReviews, Tech Gear Lab / Outdoor Gear Lab / Baby Gear Lab, and some initial articles from Meredith (Instyle, others).  Over time this has expanded to over 100 publishers and driving billions of dollars in incremental revenue.
